Okay, meal planning is not really a secret but we all know that it helps us save time, money and eat healthier.
Who doesn’t want that?
Full disclosure: I have a love/hate relationship with meal planning. It’s something I always seem to be struggling with and I know I’m not alone.
Many of my clients and friends have told me that they want to reap the rewards of meal planning but haven’t been able to make it a habit.
Meal planning does require some discipline but it doesn’t have to be complicated.
I don’t advise browsing Pinterest for a new system unless you are prepared to cover your fridge with blackboard paint or design a color coded binder.
If you are a fan of DIY projects, knock yourself out but I’ll be using my whiteboard and dry-erase markers. The tools you use to meal plan don’t matter, it’s a simple repeatable system that counts.
Actually, that’s not entirely true. Accountability and support are really what make the difference when you are trying to make a new habit stick.
You can have the best system in the world but if you don’t use it, you are back to being a meal planning drop-out.
