My Family Meal Plan (and Recipes)

Many of you expressed interest in seeing what a typical meal plan looks like at my house. You also said that you are always hungry for new recipes to add some variety to the dinners you serve at your house.

Well, here it is. This is my actual family meal plan from about 2 weeks ago. We are feeding 4 adults and a toddler at the moment.

I don’t always follow recipes but I have included the ones that I used. You will notice that all of the meals are free of gluten, dairy, soy, legumes and refined sugar. The only exception is pizza night where we use cheese.

We try to avoid processed food but as you can see we are not perfect. Would I love to make everything from scratch and incorporate more fermented food, bone broth and organ meats? Yes, but we are doing the best that we can at the moment and are lucky that no one in our family has food allergies.

All things considered, I think we are doing alright. Will we eat this way forever? Who knows? This is just a current snap shot of where we are at.

Our Weekly Meal Plan

Monday- BBQ Cranberry Chicken (slow cooker), rice, steamed broccoli

Tuesday- Leftovers

Wednesday- Meatloaf, roasted sweet potato and green salad with vinaigrette

Thursday – Leftovers

Friday – Hawaiian Pizza (Udi’s frozen gluten-free crust, add ham, pineapple and cheese) veggie sticks with ranch dressing for dipping

Saturday – Wild Salmon Burgers, sautéed red cabbage, rice

Snacks: nuts, fruit, Lara Bars, applesauce and I make freezer fudge

Breakfast: I have fruit and veggie smoothies with hemp for breakfast, Reg eats muesli and our toddler has avocado, fruit and leftovers. I usually make a double batch of paleo pancakes on Fridays.

Lunches: leftovers or tuna salad boats, omelettes or we BBQ up some sausages and veggies on the weekend.

I hope this meal plan saves you some time and inspires you to try some new recipes! I would love to know what a typical meal plan looks like at your house.
